Cut Across Shorty Drive

Two of my favorite streets!

Hey! So this week was a great one! We did lots of finding and found a guy who was interested. It's a good story, too! So we decided to tract this street called Cut Across Shorty Drive. I don't know if it was the name or the Spirit that called out to me but something did. So we were on the very last door and this Hispanic guy answered. His friend came up behind him and listened for a minute before taking a phone call. After the call he asked us what church we were from and who sent us. Usually only angry people hiding from the church ask that question but he wasn't mad. He explained that he had a friend in Mexico that had been telling him about the church but wanted the missionaries to do it better. She said she was going to send the elders over to him but didn't have his address. Then he told us that all that conversation had just taken place on the phone call he just ended so he thought that we were the elders she was going to send, but we just felt like we needed to knock doors in that area. So he told us he had a lot of questions so we told him that we would explain the foundation of our church (message of the Restoration) before explaining the questions he had. So we taught him and it went really well. We had a video chat with the member friend in Mexico and she was really nice. The guy, Misael Perez, is really nice. He has, unfortunately, looked into a lot of anti stuff on accident but knows that a lot of it is not true; he just wants clarification.

A big pack of huge dogs turned a corner and ran at us barking. They ended up being mostly friendly.

Everything is going great over here! The weather is awesome. It could be a little cooler but overall it's nice. I'm going to get this one sent and then grab my backpack that has my camera. I have pics this week! Love you! Bye!
